Dr. Kent "Kye" Higdon, MD, FACS, is our esteemed Plastic Surgeon and Owner of Higdon Plastic Surgery. With over 14 years of experience, Dr. Higdon is renowned for his exceptional cosmetic and breast surgery expertise. He is dedicated to providing personalized care and the most advanced techniques tailored to each patient's unique needs and goals. Elizabeth Higdon, NP-C

Patient Coordinator

Elizabeth Higdon is a nurse practitioner in surgical and patient coordination at HPS. After graduating from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga with a BSN degree in Nursing, she worked in a Level I Trauma Center in the emergency department at Erlanger Hospital. Elizabeth then completed her advanced practice nursing degree from Southern Adventist University, graduating with honors from their Nurse Practitioner Graduate Program.

She enjoys working with patients to make their surgical process fun and stress-free. Born and raised here in Nashville, Elizabeth is proud to serve her local community in their aesthetic and cosmetic needs. When not involved in patient care, she spends time with her husband, Dr. Kye Higdon, raising their two wonderful daughters. She and her family are dedicated to their faith and enjoy travel, outdoor activities, and attending Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators games.

Tamara Wong, NP

Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner Injector

Tamara Wong is our Acute Care Nurse Practitioner at Higdon Plastic Surgery. Originally from Brentwood, Tennessee, Tamara has returned to her roots after practicing in Virginia and Texas and brings a wealth of experience and passion for aesthetic medicine. Tamara completed her Master of Science at Vanderbilt University Graduate School of Nursing. With over 14 years as an aesthetic injector, she stands out as a master in her field. Her expertise is recognized nationally, evidenced by her Allergan Medical Institute trainer role and her esteemed position as an official injector for Allergan executives and employees. Her contributions to the field of aesthetic medicine include serving on the Allergan Aesthetics Advisory Board and as a trainer for the Texas Society of Plastic Surgeons. Before dedicating her career to aesthetics, Tamara honed her skills in diverse medical fields, including full-spectrum primary care, otolaryngology (ENT), and dermatology. She is a proponent of integrative health, ensuring her patients achieve natural, beautiful results while maintaining overall wellness. Tamara values her patients' trust in her, often treating women and men from multiple generations of the same family. She prides herself on creating personalized treatment plans that align with each patient's unique aesthetic goals. Beyond her professional life, Tamara is an enthusiastic equestrian, a lover of outdoor adventures with her husband and dog, and finds joy in traveling, cooking, and gardening. Her multifaceted interests reflect her holistic approach to life and work, making her an invaluable addition to the Higdon Plastic Surgery team.

Lauren Moore, RN

Lead Nurse, Aesthetic Nurse Specialist

Lauren is Higdon Plastic Surgery's Lead Nurse and Plastic Surgery Nurse Specialist. She graduated from The Ohio State University in 2013 and a few years later realized that nursing might be her calling. Lauren graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2017 from Capital University and began working in the Neuro-ICU. After relocating to Nashville in 2019, she switched specialties to surgical recovery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. There, Lauren was introduced to Dr. Higdon and his many plastic surgery procedures and began learning about different surgical procedures across all specialties.

She discovered a passion for aesthetics, cosmetic surgery, and cancer reconstruction. Lauren then began working in Vanderbilt's plastic and cosmetic surgical clinics to further her exposure and experience in this exciting and rewarding field. Lauren assists Dr. Higdon in consultations, procedures, and injections. She helps prep patients before surgery and aids in all postoperative care at Higdon Plastic Surgery. Lauren has a passion for hair restoration and facial rejuvenation and loves serving as a nurse injector. In her downtime, Lauren enjoys spending time in the Nations with her husband and two rescue pups, Zeke and Zoey. She loves being a Nashville transplant and is always looking for new restaurants and workout classes to try out all over the city!

Kaitlyn Caldwell, RN

Aesthetic Nurse

Kaitlyn Caldwell is our Clinic Nurse at Higdon Plastic Surgery. Originally from Michigan, she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saginaw Valley State University in 2020, where she was also a student-athlete. After college, Kaitlyn moved to Nashville, TN, to begin her nursing career at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in the Cardiovascular Progressive Care Unit. Seeking to further her nursing experience, Kaitlyn took a job in Vanderbilt's holding and recovery room, where she had the opportunity to work alongside Dr. Higdon and care for his patients in the immediate preoperative and postoperative periods.

Amongst the exposure to many surgical procedures, Kaitlyn found her niche in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. She quickly discovered that she shared a deep personal connection with Dr. Higdon's breast reconstruction patients, as her mother is a breast cancer survivor, and this allows Kaitlyn to offer a unique first-hand perspective on the reconstruction process. Kaitlyn is excited to gain experience in the aesthetic and cosmetic surgery field. Kaitlyn has many roles at Higdon Plastic Surgery, including assisting Dr. Higdon with consultations, post-op appointments, injections, and procedures.

She is passionate about helping patients reach their skin health and rejuvenation goals and supporting patients throughout their entire experience at Higdon Plastic Surgery. Outside of work, Kaitlyn is an avid runner and enjoys training for races throughout the year. She and her husband enjoy traveling together for vacation, visiting family, and attending University of Tennessee football games. When in Nashville, they love spending time with friends and their pup, Zoey.

Jamie Rucker, LPN

Patient Coordinator

Jamie is our patient and surgery coordinator at HPS. Jamie graduated nursing school in 2008 and has 13 years of plastic, reconstructive, and cosmetic surgery experience. She has worked with Dr. Higdon since 2012 and is excited about continuing her passion at Higdon Plastic Surgery. She is highly dedicated to patient care and ensuring each patient has the best experience possible. She enjoys helping patients feel better about themselves and be their best. Jamie loves traveling, shopping, and spending time with her husband and two children. She cherishes her family and friends. She looks forward to getting to know you through your journey with Higdon Plastic Surgery.

Hanna Myers, PA-C

Aesthetic Injector and Weight Loss Specialist

Hanna is a Louisiana native but spent most of her time growing up in the Pittsburgh area. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Penn State and completed her graduate degree at Slippery Rock University. She’s been a practicing PA for over 6 years, working in regenerative medicine, wellness and aesthetics. Her passion for aesthetic medicine continues to grow over time. She takes a wholistic approach and believes beauty starts from within. She is dedicated to naturally refreshed and restored results and a joyful, serene patient experience. Her favorite part about being a PA is establishing relationships with her patients, helping them look and feel their best. When she’s not seeing patients Hanna is spending time with her husband and two babies, usually cooking new recipes or chasing her toddlers around a playground. She is thrilled and honored to be a part of the Higdon Plastic Surgery team and can’t wait to meet you!

Ahna Herrera

Patient Liaison & Social Media Coordinator

Ahna graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor's Degree in Apparel Merchandising and a Minor in International Studies. She has transferred the skills she learned in her undergraduate studies to creating engaging content on Higdon Plastic Surgery's social media profiles. She says that working for Dr. Higdon has been a wonderful opportunity to learn and see all the ins and outs of running a business. Ahna loves seeing the connection Dr. Higdon has with his patients. When it comes to Ahna's free time, she loves eating Mexican food, traveling, and spending time with the people she loves!

Marlena Breider, LE

Marlena is your skincare soulmate and Licensed Aesthetician with 8 years of experience! Marlena's journey has been one of passion and dedication. With a gentle touch and a listening ear, she creates a sanctuary where clients feel not just pampered, but truly understood.

 When she’s not helping you glow from within, you'll catch her hiking trails with her dog, discovering cozy coffee spots, or whipping up delicious meals.

Front Desk Coordinator

Angie is a friendly and dedicated front desk coordinator at Higdon Plastic Surgery, where her warm demeanor and organizational skills create a welcoming atmosphere for patients. Born in Alabama, she proudly graduated from Auburn University, where she developed a strong foundation in both knowledge and community engagement.

As a mother of four, Angie skillfully balances her career with her family life, instilling values of adventure and love in her children. Her passion for travel often leads her to the ocean, where she finds solace and inspiration amidst the waves and sandy shores. When she's not exploring coastal destinations, Angie immerses herself in the vibrant Nashville music scene, eagerly attending concerts and discovering new artists. With her blend of professionalism, family devotion, and zest for life, Angie embodies a spirit of enthusiasm and care in everything she does.
